At Carlos
Martorell Consulting we deal with any kind of
matters related to the promotion, event
planning, and development and marketing of brands, celebrities
and companies. Our work
is Public Relations oriented including art
direction, stylism, interior designing, graphic designing,
global image control and follow-up in news media.
Carlos Martorell was born in Barcelona ( Spain ).
He studied Law at the
University of Barcelona.
He was a founding member of the Association of PR Professionals
and Advertisers of Catalonia.
He has got an excellent command of spoken English, French,
Italian, and Catalan, and is currently studying German.
He started his professional career as a PR Pro at the age
of 18 while organizing the recreational part of some international
medical congresses, since his father was the President of
the International Society of Cardiovascular Surgery.
In 1968 he moved to Ibiza where
he organized the openings of the Pacha,
Amnesia, Ku (Today Privilege), Charly Max, El Divino and Naïf
nightclubs.
In 1972 he moved to New York where he worked as a journalist
photographing and interviewing celebrities such as Andy
Warhol, Paloma Picasso, Valentino, Grace Jones, Diana Vreeland,
Halston, Divine, Oscar de la Renta, Amanda Lear, Julio Iglesias, among
many others.
In 1975 he moved to Paris in order to collaborate as a PR
professional with architect Ricardo Bofill when he was preparing
his first projects in the French capital.
In 1993, together with photographer Toni Riera, he published
the book El Baile (The Dance), a history of the
Pacha International Company.
In 1995 he was assigned the art direction of the TV commercial El
dia de Sant Jordi ( Saint George's Day) by the Catalan
Government.
In 1996 he published the novel Réquiem
por Peter Pan (Requiem for Peter Pan), by Ediciones del Bronce,
part of Editorial Planeta publishers.
In 1997 he led and presented in 4 languages a tourist promotion
program on the island of Ibiza for the French-German TV channel
ARTE.
In 2006 he published the novel “La memoria enjaulada” by Ediciones El Cobre.
He has decorated
public places such as Restaurant Finisterre, L'Indret de Semon, the Soho
Café, Semon Madrid, el Nou de Semon and
some private homes.
His Consulting Agency specializes
in the planning of opening and promotion
events for companies and brands. It has already collaborated with: Cartier,

for fashion shows, advertising campaigns and celebrity
chronicles.
On occasion,
he does the styling and gets in charge
of celebrities' public image in magazine chronicles (Nati
Abascal, Ana Belén,
Juan Antonio Samaranch, etc.), and of writer Terenci
Moix for the Spanish Television program Más estrellas
que en el cielo.
As a journalist,
he has published
articles and photographs in the following newspapers
